My name is Richard Keeping and I’m proud to be the landlord of the Lion & Lamb in Milton. Having spent most of my working life in the Cambridge pub scene, taking on the Lion & Lamb has been a true privilege—and a bit of a dream come true for me.

Why I Chose the Lion & Lamb

When I heard the pub had closed, I felt—as many of you did—that something special had been lost in Milton. So when the chance came to bring it back as a proper “traditional local”, I wanted to grab it with both hands. The support I’ve received from villagers and friends across Cambridge has been truly heartwarming, and I want everyone to feel welcome the moment they step through the door.

I’ve set out to restore the Lion & Lamb as a place where all generations can gather—whether you’re after a hand-pulled ale, a hearty meal, or just a friendly chat at the bar. Together with Marie, we’ve kept the spirit of the old pub alive while making sure there’s always something fresh and welcoming for everyone.
